The Deep Learning Indaba is an annual gathering of African ML community, aiming to strengthen machine learning in Africa. This year’s conference runs from September 3rd to 9th. Our PhD student, Deborah D. Kanubala, is part of the organising team, serving on the Applications and Selection committee. She will facilitate a tutorial on Machine Learning Fairness as well as moderate the WiMLDS panel discussion on the topic: “Opportunities and Challenges for Underrepresented Groups in Tech”
